The Director of Patient Financial Services is responsible for all cummunications, registration, insurance verification, radiology scheduling, billing and collection functions. Director oversees and directs outsourced contract services and clearinghouse applications. Provides leadership and manages the day to day activities pf Patient Financial Services Department. Plays a key role in education, development, and monitoring of corporate compliance policies and precedures.

Cooks Helper
Work Type: Per Diem

Per Diem position to fill in for staff holidays/vacations/weekends. Works under the direction of the Chef and Dietary Cook on the shift assigned. Receives dietary orders from patients, nurses or Dietary Cook for room service orders. Assists with and processes food orders following department specific policies and procedures. Assist with food preparation, delivering meals to the appropriate areas within the hospital. Assists as necessary with the pick up of dirty plates and utensils and processes them for cleaning.

Certified Coding Specialist
Work Type: Full-Time

Responsible for ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 diagnosis and procedure code assignment for inpatient and outpatient medical records. Abstract the information from the patient record into the Healthland system. Retrieve any missing documentation needed to ensure accurate coding and maximum reimbursement. Responsible for the DRG assignment of medical records for all DRG payers. Responsible for the APC assignment of the medical record for all APC payers.

Department : Nursing -- Post-Op

RN Post Operative Nursing Unit
Work Type: Full-Time

The Registered Nurse working on the post operative surgery unit provides planned and highly skilled nursing care to the post operative patient. Provides continuous patient surveillance, allowing early recognition and immediate emergency treatment of medical or surgical complications which may arise in any patient. Provides direct patient care and other nursing services to patients and their families/significant others by applying and documenting the nursing process; assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides post operative patient teaching as needed by each patient. Practices within the scope of the Nevada Nurse Practice Act. Decisions and actions are guided by the ANA Code for Nurses. Upholds the standards, policies and procedures as established by Sierra Surgery and Imaging.

Department : Nursing -- Pre-op

RN Pre-OP
Work Type: Per Diem

This RN is responsible for assessing, coordinating and implementing patient care involved in the Pre-OP admission process for both inpatients and outpatients. Promotes collaboration with physicians, hospital services and discharge services for the surgical patient. Coordinates pre-operative care of the surgical patient related to coordinating all pre-operative testing requirements, completing pre-operative assessments, and designing the plan of care for the patient. Provides continuous patient surveillance, allowing early recognition and immediate emergency treatment of medical or surgical complications, which may arise in any patient. Practices within the scope of the Nevada Nurse Practice Act. Decisions and actions are guided by the ANA Code for Nurses. Upholds standards, policies and procedures as established by the hospital.
